Kevin Germain

Vice President of Development/Moonlight Basin

For over 20 years, Kevin has been focused on resort and residential development in Big Sky, first as Director of Planning & Development of the original Moonlight Basin property, and subsequently in his current role with Lone Mountain Company since 2014. 

His extensive experience managing entitlement and land planning efforts, civil engineering, horizontal and vertical construction, and resort operations have been crucial to the overall success of all aspects of Moonlight Basin, including the One&Only Moonlight Basin resort project.

Kevin has been heavily involved with a wide range of community and philanthropic organizations in Big Sky. He is a former director of the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce, a current director and former chairman of Big Sky Resort Tax, and a board member of the Moonlight Community Foundation. 

He is also on the board of Eagle Mount, an organization that offers a wide range of  outdoor recreation and other programs that serve individuals of all ages  with disabilities or cancer. 

Kevin has an undergraduate degree in geohydrology, as well as master’s degree in civil engineering, both from Montana State University. He is an avid outdoorsman who loves skiing, bow hunting, fly fishing, trail running and mountain biking.
