The Power of Philanthropy in a Thriving and Stable Community

Through our philanthropic giving, LMLC supports over 40 organizations and non-profits throughout Big Sky and the Gallatin Valley on an annual basis. Since LMLC was formed in 2014, key community initiatives have included installing the Ousel Stoplight, building the popular Mountain to Meadow mountain bike trail, supporting the creation and construction of BASE our community center, helping to make the Big Sky Medical Center a reality in town, putting over 2,460 acres of land into permanent conversation at Moonlight Basin, and partnering with the Big Sky Community Housing Trust on affordable housing.

Representatives from Lone Mountain Land Company volunteer their time by serving on a number of non-profit boards throughout the community including Big Sky Resort Area District, Big Sky County Water and Sewer, Big Sky Chamber, Gallatin River Task Force,  Visit Big Sky, Big Sky Community Organization, and more.

Our unique community operates through many non-profit boards working together helping to make Big Sky a thriving community.
