Cal moved to Big Sky in 2021 after spending the previous 6 years working from the Boston office of CrossHarbor Capital Partners, Lone Mountain Land Company’s parent firm. 

Today, he is responsible for deal origination and analysis, management of LMLC’s investments, sourcing construction financing and other roles with a focus on the firm’s Montana holdings including Moonlight Basin, Spanish Peaks Mountain Club, Yellowstone Club, Crazy Mountain Ranch, Bozeman Private Hangars, and other assets. 

Prior to joining CrossHarbor and Lone Mountain Land Company, Cal worked in the acquisitions group at Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors in Hartford, CT. 

Before joining the investment world, he served 9 years on active duty in the United States Navy as a Naval Flight Officer and E-2C Hawkeye Weapons and Tactics instructor. Following active duty, Cal spent another 7 years in the Naval Reserves where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander. 

Cal is a graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), holds an undergraduate degree from Norwich University, and received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

He enjoys skiing, golfing, running, hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, as well as experiencing all that Montana has to offer with his wife and three boys.
